Frequently Asked Questions
Is mediation binding?
The mediation itself is not; the mediator helps the parties negotiate. A settlement agreement signed at mediation, however, is generally an enforceable contract.
How is arbitration different?
An arbitrator decides the dispute, and the award is usually final, with very limited grounds for appeal.
